Backlink Vigil

Backlink Vigil is a monitor for links a team has already acquired. Each linking page and target URL is added once, individually or through bulk upload, and the tool checks every one daily. It records whether a backlink is live, missing or temporarily unverifiable, using several verification steps so a blocked crawl, a protected page or a brief outage is not reported as a removal. Alerts fire when a link is lost or restored, and a complete change history shows what changed and when, including anchor text and link-type changes such as a switch to nofollow. Links can be organized by client, campaign and vendor in one place, which suits people who buy or place links across many accounts. It replaces manual spot checks of acquired links, which become impractical across several clients and vendors.
