Positional now presents itself under the name sunbeam, an autonomous SEO agent pitched as a replacement for an SEO consultant or agency. It runs strategy, content and technical work end to end, in parallel and around the clock, drawing on knowledge from real organic search campaigns. When a topical cluster lacks coverage it writes content for it, building whole content calendars and drafting articles from start to finish. When a technical issue keeps pages from being indexed it diagnoses the problem and writes a pull request to fix it. During onboarding it reads product pages, maps brand voice and tone, and indexes the competitive landscape, with more integrations coming. The pitch covers both SEO and AI search, and demos are booked with the company. It is aimed at companies that want their SEO function run by an agent rather than by a workflow tool.
